Daniel is one of the founding members of the Club (in 2007).

Daniel started playing Handball when he was 10 years old. He played in Germany on different levels and came to New Zealand in 2007.

After arriving in New Zealand, Daniel was one of eight Germans who founded the Vikings Handball Club. Since then Daniel is not just a player of the team, but also coaching the team and sharing the management of the team with other club members.

In New Zealand, Daniel represented New Zealand at the Oceania Club Championships in 2008 (in New Caledonia) and besides that, he is Assistant Coach of the Women National Team since 2014.

In addition, Daniel was President of the Wellington Handball Federation between 2008 and 2014, and is Secretary-General of the New Zealand Handball Federation since 2011.
