Hello everyone,
The Season started with the School competition here in Wellington. The Vikings supported School showed some great and successful Handball. The boys team from St.Pats College took away the win under Coach Jack Gallagher, the boys from Scots under Coach Sam Keegan came second and were only narrowly beaten by 13:15 in the final. The Rangotai boys coached by Jun Burden came third.
The Girls team from Marsden College under Coach Daniel Triebsch had two teams in the competition and while the second team came 6th, the first achieved a great second place. Same as last year, the final came down to a showdown between Marsden and Wellington Girls First team, in which WGC managed to get away with the win. The St.Mary’s teams coached by Luke and Harry Ireland managed a good 3rd and 5th and 7th place
Congratulations to all the Vikings players representing their schools and also to the coaches who did a great job teaching new and established talents the wonderful joy of playing Handball.
