Wellington League – game 13 (men) / game 10 (women)

On this wonderful Sunday, the Vikings faced the league leading team from Victoria University.

The team started quite well and was mainly up a couple of goals until early second half. Then we struggled a bit with execution and some unlucky circumstances caused too many turnovers that Vic Uni was able to convert and therefore they turned around the game and were leading by up to 6 goals. In the last 10 minutes the team were able to focus better and started to fight back but it wasn’t enough to beat Vic Uni today. The final score was 31:35.

For the Vikings played:
James W; Michael W 3, Jun B 6/2, Fabien L 6, Daniel T 2, Stefan F 4, Nico P 1, Alexis G 3, Lachlan H 5, Matthias H 1

The Vikings women team played today the Porirua HC team and started very focused and successful leading up to 10:6 at halftime. In the second half the Vikings allowed Porirua more chances which they used consequently and therefore came goal by goal closer. But the Vikings girls didn’t choke and played through to the end and secured a 19:15 win.
